Using beard oil right makes a difference.

Most guys work it into the beard hair and call it done. That is only half the job.

Beard oil is for the beard and the skin underneath. Dryness, itch, and flaking often start at the skin. If the oil never reaches it, you are missing the point.

How to apply:

Dispense into your palm — not directly onto the beard.

Rub your hands together to spread the oil.

Use your fingertips to work the oil through the beard and down to the skin underneath. Then pull the rest through from root to tip.

Shape as needed.

How much to use:

Stubble / short beard — 2 to 3 drops
Medium / chin length — 4 to 5 drops
Full / long beard — 6 to 8 drops

These are starting points. Find the amount that works for your beard.

Best time to apply: after a warm shower, when the beard is clean and slightly damp. Start light. You can always add more.
