I might be pushing into fall a little early, but I’m so ready! This is one of my favorite collections. It started at an unexpected garage sale stop years ago. It was on the Longest Yard Sale route and the house was held just for the Longest Yard Sale. The seller sold her house quickly and had to get rid of everything in the house. There was a sign in the yard that read “everything 10 cents! “ I snagged these pieces and have been adding to it ever since. It’s not a fancy collection with any prominent makers mark on the back - but I love them and I get to live with them.

A word on collections….I love English home decor. It’s a home that’s not decorated for someone else, but the people that live there. It tells a story about the people that live under it’s roof. Baskets for the garden, mix and match dishes, layered patterns and color, collections of all sorts. Chalkware is one of my favorite things to collect. I love the story of the pieces. Did you know that Chalkware were carnival prize pieces? So many of these I have found thrifting and antiquing with my daughter and I love to bring some of them out at fall with their special oranges and browns.
