We’re excited to hear the new Beck LP ~RIDE LONESOME~ and we’re gonna welcome it into the world on release day with a listening party in the record shop at 5PM on Friday September 18th. Best we can tell, this one is more of a spiritual successor to Sea Change and Morning Phase than his last few, and Nigel Godrich is back behind the boards producing here, as he has on so many of our favorite Beck (and otherwise) records. Sounds like we’ll have some freebie postcards for all, some totes to go with your copies of the album when you pick it up at this event, and somebody’s gonna win a canvas print in the raffle this time around. C’mon by.

The last of the Dolly LPs and CDs we’ll see for a minute, I’d wager. Keeping most of these off the site for now so our in-store customers have a shot at them. One per-person if you’re buying any of these from us online. Please do not pay some jerk $100 or whatever on eBay or Discogs right now for a record that’ll absolutely be re-pressed in a month or two or three or sooner. There will be more, and the music is out there…forever. You know?

Yeehaw, pals…the new Orville Peck album ~MULE~ is out September 18th but we’re gonna take it for a ride a few days early in the record shop at 2PM on Sunday, September 13th. Sounds like we’ll have some posters and buttons for all until we don’t, some totes to go with your copies of the album if you’re preordering it at this event, and one lucky duck is gonna win a fancy trucker hat in the raffle. Should be a good time, right?
