Volunteer Spotlight: Son and the Thursday Night Crew ✨
Every Thursday evening at Legacy Thrift, Son and the Thursday night crew bring energy, care, and plenty of laughter to the clothing area. 👕 Their work may happen behind the scenes, but it makes a big difference for shoppers and for the mission of the store.
While Alice sorts through clothing donations, Son and the other ladies carefully tag items and help get them ready for the sales floor. 🏷️ Thanks to their faithful hands, racks are filled, and customers have the chance to find affordable clothing. Legacy Thrift’s Orange City store supports mission work in Haiti through Bible League International, and volunteers play an important role in making that impact possible. ❤️
Most of the Thursday evening team has been volunteering at Legacy Thrift for more than 10 years. That kind of commitment says a lot about their hearts. For Son, volunteering was a way to respond to God’s goodness in her life. Because God has been so faithful to her, she wanted to give back in a meaningful way.
That desire to give back is a common theme among many Legacy Thrift volunteers. The Thursday night crew wanted to serve in the community, but they also discovered something more: volunteering has helped them meet people they might not have crossed paths with otherwise. Over the years, people from different churches and different parts of the community have become friends through shared service. 🤝
The Thursday night crew works hard, but they also have a lot of fun. 😊 Their evenings are filled with good conversations, meaningful fellowship, and plenty of laughs. They remind us that volunteering is not only about the work being done—it is also about the relationships being built along the way.
We are so grateful for Son and the Thursday night crew, for their faithful service, their joyful spirit, and the way they help Legacy Thrift live out its mission week after week. 💛
