A saber that probably shouldn’t work on paper… yet somehow works perfectly.

Released as part of Vader’s Vault’s Black Friday 2025 RTS event, this RVN takes a hilt inspired by Darth Revan’s dark side saber and transforms it into a tribute to one of animation’s most iconic characters.

Finished in Snowcone White and Flat Black, the full-body etch tells the story of Steamboat Willie through a series of black-and-white scenes wrapped around the hilt. From the ship’s wheel featuring a hidden Mickey silhouette to the musical notes etched around the emitter, every section adds another reference to the 1928 classic that helped launch the Disney legacy.

What makes this piece stand out is the contrast. A hilt rooted in Star Wars lore becomes a canvas for one of the earliest animated films ever created. Two fandoms, nearly a century apart, brought together in a way that feels surprisingly natural.

Limited releases come and go, but every now and then one appears that reminds us custom sabers can be more than replicas. They can be storytelling pieces.

A pair years in the making.

The High Republic Starkiller and now the High Republic Sith Killer, both from , were created with the same vision: weapons once tied to darkness, reclaimed through the Force and reforged into symbols of light.

The Sith Killer is the newest chapter, a High Republic-inspired take on a Jedi Killer style hilt, reimagined as a weapon made to stand against the Sith.

What makes this one even more special is how it came into my hands. On May 4th, while celebrating Star Wars Day at Disneyland, I got to spend the day with Nick C of and receive the hilt from him in person.

Nick is truly one of the elite sabersmiths in the custom hobby, and I’m grateful to call him a close friend. He even surprised me with a rare custom Starfall Sabers shirt, one of only two made.

Both hilts were installed by Chris Skinner of .designs.llc, with matching High Republic-themed chassis work, crystal chambers, elite programming, and custom acid etching.

Specs across both builds: Proffieboard 3.9, removable 18650 battery, K-Switch, 28mm bass speaker, resin greeblie chassis, and crystal chamber.

Sith Killer: Shtok Pixel Matrix and Goth G-Pix sub-bladed emitter PCB.
Starkiller: Shadowfoil Props Matrix Array.

Huge thanks to and .designs.llc for bringing these legends to life.

Some sabers are collectibles.

These two are legends.

One of the coolest moments I’ve had in this hobby.

On May 4th, while celebrating Star Wars Day and Season of the Force at Disneyland, I met up with my good friend Nick C of to receive the High Republic Sith Killer in person.

Instead of opening a package at home, I got to spend the evening hanging out with Nick, enjoying the parks, talking Star Wars, and igniting the hilt for the very first time right there at Disneyland. It doesn’t get much better than that.

The night was made even better getting to spend it with good friends Nick C of , Abe of , of , and Regan Wong . Good people, great conversations, Star Wars energy everywhere, and a moment in the hobby I’ll always remember.

The High Republic Sith Killer was designed as the companion piece to my High Republic Starkiller, creating a matching set inspired by the idea of weapons once associated with darkness being reclaimed and reforged into symbols of the light.

A huge thank you to Nick for another incredible creation and for years of friendship. It was also incredibly generous of him to gift me one of only two custom Starfall Sabers shirts ever made. A gift I’ll always appreciate.

Special thanks as well to .designs.llc for the outstanding installation, matching chassis work, elite programming, and custom acid etching that helped bring both High Republic builds to life.

Some of the best parts of this hobby aren’t the sabers.

They’re the friendships, memories, and moments like these.

The Sovereign just has a completely different vibe to it.
Dark, gothic, aggressive… almost looks like it belongs in an ancient Sith archive instead of a display case.

This special RTS release from came loaded with the blood red garnets, red OLED, custom arterial piping, and that mirror polished/card black finish combo that hits hard in person.

Running their standard CFX chassis setup with removable 18650 battery, lit pixel switches, Bluetooth, and 22mm speaker.

Definitely one of those hilts that feels less “factory made” and more like something uncovered after being lost for centuries.

The “Exquisite Promethean” from May the 4th RTS release.

This hilt instantly stood out because of the copper work, weathered copper patina, and full body filigree etching. It has that refined ancient artifact feel while still looking like something you could find wandering the markets and ruins of Batuu.

The sage green OLED accents with the purple abalone inlays look even crazier in person. The polished copper control box, lit pixel switches, exposed vent section, and pixel bargraph all come together clean without feeling overdone.

Running their standard CFX chassis setup with a 22mm speaker and removable 18650 battery.

Beautiful saber. Beautiful details. Just a really unique piece overall.

Shot throughout Batuu where this thing felt right at home.

Copper. Industrial. Weathered perfection.

This absolutely stunning custom from has officially found its way into the collection of House of Corellia by way of Chris Winters. The second I saw this hilt, I knew it had that raw lived-in Galaxy’s Edge energy that photographs perfectly out in the wilds of Batuu.

The brushed aluminum body mixed with the deep copper accents, exposed crystal chamber, extended side rail, and oversized industrial control box gives this build such a heavy utilitarian presence — like something pulled straight from a smuggler’s workshop deep in the Outer Rim. The weathering is subtle and tasteful, while the copper work brings warmth and depth throughout the entire piece.

And that crystal chamber… absolutely unreal. The exposed copper rods paired with the glowing green crystal and resin detailing give it that handcrafted “functional machine” aesthetic that Starfall does so well.

Installed by Chris at .designs.llc featuring a beautifully crafted resin greeblie chassis meticulously painted to perfectly match the industrial copper theme of the hilt. Even the removable chassis carries that worn mechanical Batuuan vibe.

Running a Proffie V3 setup with a 24mm bass speaker, K-Switch, and removable 18650 battery setup to round out the install.

Nick absolutely cooked with this one. Truly a chef’s kiss of a build and easily one of the most unique pieces in my growing Starfall collection.

Batuu was the perfect backdrop for this monster.
