Had to give the Godzilla Graflex by Satoshi Itwatsubo of HARP Lightsabers another proper showcase. 🦖⚡️

The photos are one thing, but the video really shows why this build is so insane.

Underneath that familiar Graflex exterior is essentially an entire mechanical sculpture — precision-machined brass, wood inlay, jewel accents, exposed piping, animated lighting and moving components throughout.

One of my favorite details is the spinning chamber in the lower section. Tiny diamond-like faceted stones catch the light as it rotates, creating this subtle sparkle inside the chassis. Completely unnecessary… and absolutely amazing. 😂

Then there’s the removable crystal pod, which releases magnetically and connects to its own holder so it can actually be worn as a necklace.

And somehow…

all of this still fits inside a Graflex.

That contrast is what makes the Godzilla so special. From the outside, iconic and familiar. Inside, completely unrestrained HARP engineering.

There are only a few sabers I would personally put into true Holy Grail territory.

This is absolutely one of them.

The GODZILLA Graflex — by Satoshi Itwatsubo of HARP Lightsabers. 🦖⚡️

I’ve shared this hilt before, but after finally getting it into the photo booth, it deserved another proper showcase.

From the outside — one of the most iconic silhouettes in Star Wars.

Inside — absolute insanity.

Remove the Graflex shell and Satoshi’s all-brass Grandmaster chassis emerges, layered with exposed mechanical architecture, wood inlay, illuminated channels and jewel accents throughout.

At the lower section, a spinning energy chamber surrounded by diamond-like stones catches the light as it rotates, creating an incredible sparkle within the chassis.

Then there’s the removable crystal pod — magnetically secured inside the saber and designed to connect to its separate carrier so the crystal can actually be worn as a necklace.

Panels open.
Sections articulate.
The chamber spins.
The crystal comes out.
And independent accent lighting brings the entire structure to life.

This is why the Godzilla name fits.

Outside — Graflex.

Inside — completely unrestrained HARP engineering.

There are very few sabers I would personally place into true Holy Grail territory.

This is unquestionably one of them.

Satoshi didn’t just build something to fit inside a Graflex. He built an entire world inside one.

There are custom sabers… and then there are pieces that completely redefine what a lightsaber build can be.

The GODZILLA Graflex — created by Satoshi Itwatsubo of HARP Lightsabers. 🦖⚡️

I’ve shared this hilt before, but after finally getting it into the photo booth, I knew it deserved another proper showcase.

From the outside, it carries one of the most recognizable silhouettes in Star Wars — the Graflex.

But hidden inside is something completely different.

Remove the Graflex shell and Satoshi’s full Grandmaster chassis emerges from within — an incredible piece of functional mechanical art built almost entirely from precision-machined brass.

And this is where the Godzilla name starts to make perfect sense.

The chassis is layered with exposed mechanical architecture, piping, vents, illuminated channels and jewel accents placed throughout the design. Wood inlay is incorporated around portions of the internal structure, adding warmth and contrast against all of that machined brass.

Then you get to the lower section.

A spinning energy-modulation chamber comes alive inside the chassis, surrounded by diamond-like stones that catch the light as the mechanism rotates. The movement creates a subtle sparkle within the brass structure that is almost impossible to fully appreciate in still photographs.

And then there is the crystal chamber.

The crystal pod is completely removable and magnetically secured within the chassis. Satoshi also designed a separate carrier that allows the crystal assembly to connect magnetically and be worn as a necklace.

The crystal doesn’t simply live inside the saber.

It can actually be carried with you.

Once powered, independent accent lighting illuminates different areas throughout the structure — blue, cyan, red and green light moving through vents and openings and making the entire chassis appear alive.

Panels open.

Sections articulate.

The lower chamber spins.

The crystal can be removed.

And underneath all of this craftsmanship is a fully functional saber running Proffie 3.9, a 28mm speaker, individually controlled accent LEDs and an extensively animated internal system.

What I love most is the contrast.

On the outside — Graflex.

Historic. Familiar. Almost understated.

Inside — Godzilla.

Absolutely unrestrained.

Calling something like this simply an “install” almost feels inadequate. The electronics happen to live inside what is essentially a miniature piece of mechanical sculpture.

There are only a handful of sabers I would personally place into true Holy Grail territory.

This is unquestionably one of them.

Satoshi didn’t simply create something to fit inside a Graflex.

He built an entire world inside one.

House of Corellia spotlight.

After owning the first Adept and eventually letting it go, I knew I wanted to revisit this incredible hilt and push it even further. I asked Nevin of Space Junk Sabers if we could bring the Adept back and open it up with exposed slots to reveal a crystal chamber, and the end result came out absolutely amazing.

This Adept V2 from Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is such a special build because it feels like a true evolution of the first version. Chris of CAS Designs, LLC designed and printed a beautiful exposed chamber that shines through the open windows, and the resin greeblie detail chassis he created is seriously top tier. The craftsmanship and design language throughout this piece are on another level. A subtle but important touch that helps set this version apart from V1 is the updated shroud work from Ryan at Scavengers Foundry, which gives the hilt an even stronger identity.

Feature wise, this thing is loaded:
Proffie v3.9 running OS8.10 with fett263 prop file
GOTH-3Designs G-pix emitter sub-bladed into 3 rings
Jaa Horne 8mm soft switches modified and provided by SJS
ShtokCustomWorx | Lightsaber builder, Designer, Engineer rotary PCB set for removable chassis
Shtok NPXL MTRX in the brass crystal chamber behind a real quartz point
80mm flexible pink Edison filament
15px 2020 neopixel accent strip sub-bladed
Shtok nanopixel accent PCB for pommel LED bezel
Khal @ KR Sabers 28mm bass speaker
KeepPower 18650 protected li-ion rechargeable battery

Huge respect to Nevin at Space Junk Sabers for building this second version for me, and to Chris at CAS Designs, LLC for absolutely killing it with the chamber and chassis design. This is the kind of custom piece that reminds me why I love this hobby so much.

MAELSTROM OF THE MOON 🌙

One of those Vader’s Vault RTS creations that reminds you just how special their one-off themed builds can be.

Built upon the legendary Maelstrom platform, this piece feels less like a lightsaber and more like an ancient artifact pulled from another world. Intricate Celtic knotwork, lunar imagery, deep green leather, antiqued metalwork and warm brass/copper tones come together in a design that feels equal parts Druid, warrior and relic.

The crescent moon detailing throughout the hilt is what really sets this one apart. Every angle reveals another layer — engraved knotwork around the emitter, lunar motifs through the choke, an incredibly detailed leather wrap and that unmistakable heavily aged Vader’s Vault finish.

I have yet to confirm the original themed RTS name Vader’s Vault gave this particular build, so for now…

“Maelstrom of the Moon.” 🌙

Another special piece residing here at the House of Corellia.
