📖 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!
1 John 3:1
I love this verse because it brings me back to what’s most true when my mind starts wandering off in ten different directions.
It’s easy to get caught up in all the other ways this world measures people. Whether I’ve done enough. Whether I’m getting enough done. Whether I’m where I thought I’d be by now.
But then I read this, and it pulls me right back.
I’m a child of God.
And honestly, that means more to me than a whole lot of other things. Not because I’ve earned it. Not because I’ve done everything right. Just because of the love of God.
That’s a good thing to remember first thing in the morning.
I hope there’s some comfort in that for you today. 🤍🌿
