Grijalva Skatepark groundbreaking is on August 27th at 4:30pm. I’d like to personally thank Nathan and Emily who’ve been our point of contact, Dan Slater 🍊 Mayor of Orange and the Orange City Council (this one and the previous). Chip Monaco for backing us from the start and calling us to say “I think I found Money for the Skatepark…Be at the Council meeting tomorrow!”
This project has been a long one (with plenty of hurdles), but the journey was well worth it.
THANK YOU to everyone who bought a deck, shoes or donated money when we were in that stage of having to raise the funds ourselves. That money was handed over to the city and a portion of it is going to something special in/around the park that we are keeping secret.
