Whew, what a day! A group of us quilters went to build beds at the Elks Lodge with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. There were about 200 people there!
We did a lot of sanding, some did cutting, and others used drills. We all got to brand a headboard, too.
It was a great experience, and we can't wait to do it again.
As a group this build resulted in 102 beds! And 87 of the are spoken for. That means there are at least 87 kids in our local area that are currently sleeping on the floor. That's a lot.
