She is not looking for trash. She is looking for her next piece of art.
Somewhere in an Ord junkyard, a mother-and-daughter creative team sorts through old car parts, salvaged metal, and castoffs most people would never look at twice. Then they take those pieces home and turn them into signs, dƩcor, gifts, and one-of-a-kind art.
Junkyard Dog Designs is part of a three-generation family story that starts with Trevor Fischerās decades of metal sculptureāand grew into a healing, creative project shared by his daughter Mia and granddaughter McKenna.
Their art gallery is tucked inside the Fischer Auto Sales building in Ord, where junkyard finds become pieces with a second life and a story all their own.
Junkyard Dog Designs was nominated for my feature "Your Next Favorite" and appeared in Issue 15 of The Bright Side.
I'm always looking for favorites to feature! Let me know yours in the comments!
