Its been a week since 8 incredibly dedicated volunteers helped with the tough move from the full basement at Ghoul Gallery. It truly was a challenge with so many racks of product. There is no way I could have done that by myself in weeks. Buried amongst all those boxes that sat next to a no-barrier outer wall was mold, dust, and more mice sh*ts than I ever expected. I had never seen any until we moved boxes.
Thanks you so much to Diane and Wayne Swagerty, David Smotrys, Sally Hanel Mackey's Husband and great friend Glen, Eddie Passadore and Bryce Passadore (who brought the 24ft truck), and I'm missing the names of Glen's buddy, and Son in law, both names whose names escape me right now. Your help was so appreciated. Believe it or not, the remaining product filled the truck of the Restoration crew ftom PaulDavis.
The move is now complete. The store is empty. I lost my voice by the end of the day last Saturday. It was all I could do to manage a whisper. It's a week later and I'm still very sick. I may need to see a Doctor. He'll probably tell me it's from exhaustion after 14 days of non stop pack up and out.
But I can't finish these thank yous without talking about my good friend, Bill Melville , who spent tireless hours, 8 or more a day for 14 days, helping me pack my car, his car, and ultimately the new warehouse..or Ghoul Gallery Annex, as Dave Smotrys calls it.
Thank you Everyone. The hard work is complete, but now starts the seemingly impossible work of sorting through stacks of boxes and figuring out what to do with it all. I'm doomed.
