This Missouri Heirloom 1928 Gulbransen Vintage Upright Player Piano spent years sitting in a barn, facing severe moisture damage, direct water exposure, missing dampers, and heavily rusted strings. It's easily one of the most extreme "before" condition pianos we've ever taken on.

Here are some specifics about the Hailun 218 grand piano: The soundboard is solid German spruce. The bass bridge is solid maple and is strategically placed for quality of tone. The treble bridge is vertically laminated maple and the cap is European beech. The bridges are hand-notched. The hammers are German. The inner and outer rim of the piano are both made of maple. The strings are German. The piano lid is beveled and reinforced and comes with the Safety-Ease Lid Assist system.

Meet the Marxophone! This quirky turn-of-the-century instrument just went through our shop for a full functional restoration. Our client from San Francisco wanted us to get it playing beautifully again while preserving its weathered, antique charm.

To bring this family heirloom back to life, we:
Repaired a major body crack
Sourced custom-made tiny bass strings from Heller Bass in Germany
Installed harpsichord tuning pins
Replaced the felts and secured the bouncy little hammer metal strips

We are one step closer to bringing this stunning Florida Heirloom 1859 Rosewood Chickering Grand Piano back to life. Thanks to some precise CNC machining, these crucial components are completed and ready for the next stage of the restoration.
