Our tank is full! What an amazing 20 days we have spent at alamBatu - Beach Bungalow Resort . Our back to back groups have enjoyed beautiful accommodations, an incredible staff and most of all fantastic diving. The friendships we made, the laughter, kindness and beautiful culture, are all memories we will take home with us. So until next time, keep diving and Thank You to all!

Things got a little weird after dark…

We jumped into the ocean to meet the tiny creatures that apparently come with their own lighting system. Bioluminescent plankton, glowing critters, and plenty of mysterious little things drifting by.
Was it slightly creepy? Sure.
Was watching the ocean sparkle around us worth it? Absolutely.
Sometimes the best adventures are the unknown. And sometimes the best dives happen when you can’t see what’s coming… except when it starts glowing.

We headed off to Nusa Penida in hunt of spotting a Mola Mola. Unfortunately it is late in the season and no Mola Molas were seen. We did however have some beautiful manta rays show up and a cute little cuddle puddle of sting rays. Any dive trip with these amazing people is a success!

Can you spot them?

The reef is full of masters of disguise! From perfectly camouflaged critters blending into coral and fauna, to tiny creatures the size of your fingertip hiding among the rocks, sand and coral. Our guides in Bali were amazing at helping us find the smallest and most camouflaged critter. Every dive became a scavenger hunt making us slow down, look closely, and discover creatures hiding in plain sight. That’s the magic of diving. You never know what you’ll find when you take a closer look.

Who doesn't love an underwater traffic jam! This mesmerizing group of jacks has been entertaining both groups of our divers at alamBatu - Beach Bungalow Resort. And since we are not in a hurry, this is the type of traffic jam that we can embrace.
