As we move forward, the above brands are a handful of those we will begin cycling out of our inventory to move toward better options. Although these clothes are second hand and we are not directly supporting them, we feel the need to stop promoting their products in general.

As we move forward with Belva’s Attic, I’ve been experiencing some strong convictions. Convictions regarding the clothing items I choose to source for this page.

Questions that have began popping up in my head while holding garments are “who made this?” “what were their conditions like?” “if I choose to purchase this will this garment be cherished by it’s new owner?”

Moving forward, my goal is to raise awareness of the issues surrounding the unfair conditions of those working (and sometimes living) in sweatshops and the truth behind where materials made to make the fabrics we wear truly come from. As I begin educating myself on this topic, I hope to share my learnings with you all of ethical buying and the movement I plan on bringing to Belva’s Attic with these conversations 🤍
