Lusi & Milo was born in August 2020. The name comes from the love of each of our two dogs. LUCY and SIMBA = LUSI and MINNIE and LOLA = MILO. We started our own business because, like so many, we were affected by the pandemic. We had worked 25+ years in the hotel business and found ourselves sent home in March of last year with no idea of what was to come. Two weeks turned into two months, four mon

ths…. We became great friends when we worked together in a local hotel. We've come to know each other’s families really well, we've traveled together, we've shared quite a bit of ups and downs, and so we knew that we'd get through this pandemic together too. While shopping online, Cara came across an eCommerce opportunity. What in the world is that? We knew nothing about this business but we were up for the challenge! In August, we dove head first into a training program that would eventually prepare us to become online sellers and jump start our new business! Within a few weeks, we were LOVING our new business...“shopping” online, learning about social media, educating ourselves about marketing and so much more. The best part of our job? The ability to create our own flexible work schedule, taking time off with no questions asked, and choosing to work from home or the “office” (aka Cara’s dining room table!). We were excited and determined to never let anyone hold our livelihood in their hands ever again. We would become the CEOs of our lives! Fast forward to April 2021... we have launched two products online and are happy to say that a third is on the way! Our journey has been educational, fun, challenging, and frustrating yet nothing less than spectacular! We often look at each other and say “had I known it was going to be so tough, I’m not sure I would have done this!” Thank goodness that we did! Thanks for stopping by!
