When my fellow Christmas-loving friend told us that she and her husband were expecting their first baby, of course she needed a crocheted Nativity! However, it was about 8 months late aha, and so I didn’t get pictures. Enjoy these older ones (the first two use the same yarn as this time around).

Remember when Kaitlyn’s book first came out, and I started a yellow/orange bandana, and then ran out of the yarn and found it was discontinued?

WELL in Lake Mary had the PERFECT yellow and orange, and so I finally got to make my OG idea of the Cottage Blossom Bandana! It’s probably my favorite of the three I currently have, and gives me Stardew Valley Fall season vibes.

My sweet friend asked to order an already made elephant for her daughter, and so of course I had to make a lil lovey to go with it! I used contrast colors that also match the blanket I made them, and the nursery colors overall. This was such a fun, sweet project, and it’s my first lovey! I used the same head pattern as the stuffed animal, minus the tusks, and then found a pattern online for the blanket part, which was a cool way to match the styles more.

When someone wants you to make one of your favorite patterns for them, how do you say no? Trick question: you don’t!! I got to make two of them for my birthday twin (shoutout to Shari!!) and I loved every minute of making them!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dark blue yarn she chose for this set, and am gonna have to get some for myself! It made such a gorgeous fabric for the pattern.

Wowza, this was a unique and fun custom order (which is now on my list for my own makes)! Jay asked me to make a dozen tulips, and a vase that has “J+A” on it. I LOVEDDDDDDD getting to learn how to make flowers, and I combined several techniques I’ve learned over the years to make a sturdy, useable vase. He’s entrusted me with so many ideas over the years, and I love bringing all of them to life!

If you told little Hannah she’d be crocheting all the time, making gifts and custom orders, and even designing her own patterns… well she might believe you cause little Hannah was actually pretty confident. But! I never would have thought that that’s where life would lead.

I am forever thankful that God has opened the door for this business fueled by passion, love, and creativity. I do not ever want to take lightly the amazing blessing that this is, and the joy and honor it is to create for people, That I could honor Him in gifting others or encouraging the creativity of others. That He has allowed me to be able to create with my hands at all. God is so so good, and is my entire foundation. He is forever worthy of anything I have to give, even if it is nothing but a hallelujah. If you do not know God, if you don’t know Christ as your Savior, I pray that you come to. That you ask me or someone else about the relationship we have that is so real, so life changing.

(To be clear, He is good all the time, even if I never had HDC).

I am forever thankful for those that put the idea in my head and encouraged it. For those that have supported me. For those that inspired and challenged me with new ideas to bring to life. You can ask John: I can’t express how thankful and excited I am when someone wants me to make something for them. Or when someone shows me a picture of what I made in its new home. Or when people make a pattern I poured so much time and love into. Thankful for John himself: the love of my life and my ultimate supporter.

Yall are great. I am forever thankful.

Some important changes coming to HDC!

First off, though, I want to thank everyone for the support in any form! I wouldn’t be able to keep up HDC without yall.

But Imma be real. I hate both of these changes. They are necessary, so I’m doing it, but I love you guys so much, and love making affordable gifts so much, that both of these were hard decisions to come to. Please know I can’t wait to continue making things though!

My latest makes were for a sweet order from a coworker. She commissioned Little Bear, Owl, and Cat from the show “Little Bear” for her daughter who loves the show.

There wasn’t an existing pattern for them, so guess what I did? Created them! I am so thrilled with how these turned out, and so thrilled to be trusted with such a special, heartfelt gift 💜

I cannot put into words how much it means to me when y’all trust me to bring your vision to life, especially when doing it from scratch. Yall are incredible and I can’t wait to show y’all more stuff this year!

Easily one of my favorites: the alphabet blanket!! This was for two of my friends as they’re expecting their baby girl this month! I loveeeeeee the colors, and love@how crisp the lines turned out 💜💜💜
