Hi, I’m Mark TR Filteau—the person behind the camera! I live in Orleans and own Mark's Music Cape Cod, where I teach guitar, ukulele, bass, drums and share my love of music.

I also love getting out and capturing Cape Cod—the beaches, wildlife, sunsets, and everyday moments that make this place special. This page is my way of sharing those moments with you, whether you live here, visit whenever you can, or simply miss the Cape.

Thank you for following along, sharing my work, and telling your own Cape Cod stories. It’s nice to put a face to the camera once in a while!

Thank you for reaching out. We’ve been flooded with requests from bands interested in playing at Mark’s Music – Stage Room Original Band Nights. We’re still organizing the list of bands and putting the shows together. We’ll reach out as the lineups are formed.

I also want to clear up a few key details so everyone understands what these nights are about.

Each show will feature 4–5 local original bands, similar in format to an open mic. Each band will perform 5 original songs.

There are no tickets being sold, and no food or alcohol will be sold. Mark’s Music – Stage Room is not a nightclub. Artists will not be paid to perform.

The shows will be livestreamed through Cape Cod, Massachusetts, our social media platform with more than 204,000 followers, giving local original bands an opportunity to reach a much larger audience.

Attendance inside the Stage Room will be limited to 50 people at a time.

We have a full PA. Electric and Acoustic drums, various bass and guitar amps. (6) Vocal Shure Sm58 mics. Stage lights. And a 20’ x 18’ stage. An outdoor area to hang.

The goal is simple: bring Cape Cod musicians together.

These nights are about meeting other musicians, supporting one another, sharing original music and giving local artists a place to be creative.

This isn’t a “gig.” It’s a movement.

We’re trying to develop and strengthen a real Cape Cod Music Scene.

This might not be for every band—and that’s completely fine. But it might be exactly what you and your band have been looking for.

Just trying to bring people together through original music.

CALLING CAPE COD ORIGINAL BANDS

Mark’s Music in Orleans is looking to start something new.

We want to begin hosting weekend shows in our stage room featuring original bands from Cape Cod.

The idea is simple: bring local bands together, give original music a place to be heard, and help build a stronger original music scene here on the Cape.

This is not a battle of the bands. No judges. No winners. No competition.

It’s about bands supporting bands, meeting other creative people, sharing original music, and building something together.

We’re envisioning shows with multiple bands on the bill, with each band performing approximately 3–5 original songs. All styles and genres are welcome.

Right now, we’re looking to connect with Cape Cod bands interested in being part of this.
