There was a section of the Catfish Loop of Shady Bend Trail right after crossing the drainage ditch that has never flowed quite right. It's a place with two fairly sharp right corners to turn the loop back to the west along the river. The first turn was slightly off camber and the second had river sand right at the apex making easy to slide out if carrying speed. The fix was to open both corners slightly. Pushing the first curve out a few feet brought the trail tread onto a natural raised bank that only needed minimal handwork to shape into a sweet berm. Pushing the second curve out also exposed a slight raised ridge at the outside of the turn and fixed the sharp turn in the loose sand. As a bonus, changing the corners turned the whole segment into a fun little S curve that should flow awsome. Always looking for opportunities to make the trail better.
