In celebration of the 65th Annual Knoxville Nationals being held just a half hour away from us, we wanted to put on a little race of our own at the shoppe!

Race to find the red sprint car hidden in the shoppe and win 50% off any item of your choosing!

Offered is a magnificent large-format Victorian Pictorial Family Bible, published by B. F. Johnson & Co. of Richmond, Virginia, dating to approximately 1886–1892.

This impressive 19th-century family Bible was produced as an all-in-one religious and reference volume and features:

• Dr. William Smith’s Standard Bible Dictionary
• King James Version (KJV) text along with the Revised New Testament
• 2,000+ Scripture illustrations, including engraved and color illustrations
• A complete concordance
• Histories of various religious denominations
• Detailed information and illustrations relating to Solomon’s Temple and the Tabernacle
• Traditional family-record pages

These enormous Victorian family Bibles were commonly sold by subscription during the late 19th century and were intended to be treasured household reference books as well as religious volumes.

Condition and completeness are extremely important to collectors. Value can vary considerably depending on the condition of the leather binding, completeness of the pages and illustrations, and whether the original family genealogy pages have been completed.

💰 Typical resale value: approximately $150–$400, with exceptional examples potentially commanding more depending on condition and provenance.

A beautiful and historically significant piece of 19th-century American religious and family history, especially if the genealogy pages contain original family records.
