Alright, no one guessed the album from today's giveaway.
You might remember the band Enuff Z'Nuff and their 1989 self-titled album. It had a couple of hits in New Thing and Fly High Michelle. Donnie Vie left that band and went on to make solo albums to a music world that has mostly turned a deaf ear. The album in question is called Beautiful Things and it is tragic, in my humble opinion, that it has flown under the radar of just about everyone.

You all have no idea how excited I am to finally have this record! While it may not be the Yes album that their older fans point to, it is my favorite. It was love at first listen. I adopted Give Love Each Day as a personal mantra. Put good into the world, everyone is going through something and you never know who could use just a little bit of warmth from someone. If you haven't listened to this record, give it a try.

New arrivals! For a $25 gift card... There is a rock band that had some commercial success at the very end of the 80s. While the band still continues, one of the key members left and has been doing the solo career thing. One of the albums in here is from that member. Name the album and artist.

Thank you everyone that wrote up something for the latest giveaway. These days I think people like writing about as much as they like reading (I personally enjoy both), so it was nice to see a fair number of you spend some time trying to sell me on a record. I read each and every one. Ultimately, I was looking for someone to sell me on a record I'd never heard. Most of the posts were records I was well familiar with. A few of them were new to me. The one that did the most convincing job of getting me to take a listen was Rosalie Joy Lewis's contribution of The Replacements - Tim. While I was familiar with the band, I'd never heard this album. I've got it playing here today and it is really good. So, a $25 gift card for Rosalie. Thanks for playing everyone! I've got more new records coming in tomorrow and Thursday. Stay tuned!
