Leslie here. Surprise, yesterday was my 44th birthday! 🎉 I am absolutely amazed at the turnout for our 44 cent sale! 😄 I wanted to thank everyone who came out and utilized our awesome store as a resource and enjoyed the heck of our ridiculous deals! When you’re happy, we are the happiest!! 💖
💕 Another huge thank you to everyone who came in with support, either with monetary or store donations or words of acknowledgement and encouragement. We are so blessed to do what we do and serve our neighbors. This community warmly welcomed me when I moved here in 2019. After bouncing around to over a dozen places, I finally found home.. and opened up shop / laid down my roots in 2020. It’s indescribable, the feeling of being 100% backed by a community of support. I feel every ounce of it because this place is ONLY supported by me, our few incredible helpers, vendors, and this community’s generosity and love for each other. 💓
I feel blessed every day to be one of the many smiles that welcomes those who find their way to this sweet little town. I could think of no better way to spend my birthday than a busy Saturday at my favorite place! My dream come true! Letting my love light shine. And yesterday was the perfect day! We sold A LOT of clothes to A LOT of happy, grateful people. We also helped more than a few neighbors in need this week. You can always count on us to sell our donations of necessities at actual affordable prices. Or give them away through our voucher program or our free bins. 💕
Someone said yesterday “this store is like a huge garage sale, it is AWESOME!” And that was after shopping their butt off for 1-2 hours. 😄
While we keep our prices nice and low on items of necessity (clothes/shoes/kitchen/home stuff), we are also hearing and responding to our customers’ demand for more analog media(music & movies), electronics, graphic T’s & hoodies, shiny rocks / artifacts, handmade jewelry, posters, stickers, rings, buttons/pins, and whatever else we love to find to express our individual, beautiful selves. We are all about making hearts sing! 💕
Anyway, thank you all for listening while I express my immense gratitude and share some of my Sunday reflections. We are taking a short break to rest and celebrate, but we’ll be back at it this Thursday, September 10th at 11am.
