💕Check out this custom order I’m working on with a heartwarming story behind it!
Earlier this year, I was contacted by a gentleman after a devastating fire destroyed his church in Rockford, Illinois. Among everything that was lost was a beautiful stained glass window that had been cherished by generations of the congregation.
Rather than letting the broken glass be discarded, they asked if there might be a way to preserve its memory. Together, we found a way.
Over the past several months, I’ve carefully fused the salvaged pieces of stained glass into pendants and worry stones. Each piece carries a small part of that beloved window, allowing church members to take home a tangible reminder of the place that meant so much to them.
I’ve created more than 100 pieces so far, and hearing the stories, gratitude, and kind words from the congregation has been an honor. I’m truly grateful to have played a small part in helping preserve these memories.
This project is a reminder that even after tragedy, hope, healing, and beauty can emerge in unexpected ways.
And there’s more good news—the church has recovered from the fire, and a beautiful new stained glass window has arrived and is now awaiting installation. It’s a wonderful new chapter while the original window continues to live on in the hearts—and hands—of its congregation 🫶💕💒
