ONE YEAR AGO... this weekend.
We quit our jobs, finalized the paperwork and were handed the keys to the store.

We've met so many wonderful people in the last year.

We had a vision to create a vintage store with a department store vibe and reasonable prices. We worked tirelessly for months to make things look something like we saw in our heads. It's been a lot of fun so far and are very excited to see how the second year goes. Here are some then and now pictures. enjoy!

100 YEARS AGO August 1926 National Geographic Magazine. The Best Advertising of all time in these 100 year old magazines....

A brand New Stutz or Packard Car, a round the World Cruise, a watch that keeps perfect time, a reliable ink pen, an electric ice box, a spinning drum that washes our clothing, a radio in the living room.
The industrial revolution is in full swing. We won the great War years ago (The war to end all wars) and the future is so bright in our new electric lighted home. It is a great time to be alive!

The National Geographic Society has been financing exploration around the globe since 1886. Western Society is amazed and awed by stories and photographs of teams pushing their limits on the highest mountains and remotest river valleys, impenetrable jungles, deepest caverns, frozen artic poles (North and South). Adventures brought to the comfort of our living rooms by the friendly mailman every month.
