I have been putting off this post for too long now as I suppose this makes it truly official.
It is with my sincerely deepest regret to inform you that Bargain Fireworks of Owasso will no longer be selling fireworks to the public.
With over a quarter of a century and 3 generations of fireworkers, we have witnessed many of you who could barely see over the counter as kiddos grow up into adults with families of your own. And then you brought them in to shop with us. You trusted us to help you tailor your Independence Day celebrations and we are so honored and grateful for those memories.
In our time, we raised support for disabled veterans and veteran organizations. What many of you don’t know, is that my father helped many of our customers without advertisement. A single mother going through a rough patch might receive an entire fireworks display at no charge. Or perhaps the wife of a deployed soldier would receive a whole box of fireworks to enjoy with their children since daddy was away serving our nation in a combat zone.
We further showed our regard for the heroes of our society by offering additional discounts to military, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMT and first responders, and our teachers. We love and appreciate all of you.
Remember, June 15th is the first day of the fireworks season where you are able to legally purchase fireworks to celebrate how FREE you are. In other words, you are given an allotment of approximately 3 weeks to celebrate your freedom. Our forefathers fought a tyrannical king, earning our independence from England, to become the nation that we are today; whatever your perspective of that might be. Regardless, we wish you and your loved ones the very best during this (to us, sacred) time of year. May we hold it in reverence to observe and remember the rebels who defied tyranny while also enjoying well-deserved time and fun with our families and community.
Semper Fidelis,
Jeremy Weber
