We’re looking for volunteers who are willing to lend a hand with:

🤝 And helping our baseball program continue to grow!

Have a youngster who is just getting ready to start playing baseball? Now is a great time to get involved! It’s a great way to meet other baseball families, support the program, and help make a difference for our players. ⚾🐾

Last weekend some Owatonna Huskies got to participate in the Metro Baseball League August Classic Tournament. Teams are compiled of players from different towns to make one team.

11A - 2nd place
11AA - 2nd place
12A - 1st place
12AA - 11th place
12AAA - 1st place
13A - 6th place
14AA - 9th place

⚾️ Congratulations to our Owatonna 13U players who participated in the 2026 August Classic this past weekend in Lakeville!

Isais Padilla, Reid Magana, Cayson Case and Eli Carlson.

They teamed up with players from Albert Lea, Austin, Rochester and Byron for this special end-of-season event.

The August Classic is a great chance for players to compete together, build new friendships, and celebrate a great summer of baseball.

Great way to close out the summer for U14AA with a walk off win against Byron 3-2, to win the League Championship!

Backed by a solid outing from Aniston Tackman and a 💣 by Andrew Mitchell over the right field wall!!

Way to go boys on an awesome season of ball!

Owatonna 14A+ finished off their MBT State weekend with a 7-2 win over Edina White on Saturday. Tyler Petterson pitched a complete game gem and Dacyn Crow was 3-for-3 at the plate.

Unfortunately, the Huskies couldn’t overcome a tough loss to Chanhassen Silver in their pool play opener on Friday, but came back to battle No. 5 seed Osseo-Maple Grove, before falling short, 11-7. The Huskies finished 1-2 on the weekend and will play in the Gopher State Tournament of Champions next weekend in Brooklyn Park.

SEMIFINAL CHAMPS! ⚾️
The Huskies battled to a 7-5 victory tonight and punched their ticket to the Championship Game! Proud of the grit, determination, and team effort from every player. One more game to go—let’s finish what we started! 💙🖤

Thats a wrap!

10A Blue finished their season on Sunday going 1-1 in their end of the season league tournament. Game 1 saw them on the wrong side of the win column losing 1-0 to St. Peter in a pitchers’ duel. The boys came back strong in a consolation game against Waseca, winning 10-2. Only allowing 3 runs was an awesome accomplishment but also a testament to how hard these boys worked all season on the mound.

From day 1 these boys wanted to work hard and learn. They improved tremendously and are already looking forward to next year. The coaching staff is so very proud of all their accomplishments.

Finishing the season with 13 wins was great but not as great as the friendships gained through all the wonderful memories!

The Owatonna Huskies 13U baseball team wrapped up their season this weekend at the state tournament.

These boys never gave up and battled until the very last pitch. They finished the season with an outstanding 26-11 record and earned a spot among the top 16 teams at the state tournament. While we came up short, this team didn’t let anyone down. Reaching the bracket rounds at state is an accomplishment to be proud of, and this group earned every bit of it. What an incredible season!

A message from Coach Bryon:

"I saw the potential in this team from the very beginning. As coaches, we challenged these boys every day because we believed in them and knew they were capable of great things. They didn’t just improve as hitters and fielders-they grew their understanding of the game, learned to compete, and became true teammates. I know I speak for our entire coaching staff when I say how incredibly proud we are of this group. After our final game last night, four different coaches came up to me to tell me how talented this team is. But what meant the most was hearing them say our boys were the most respectful team they had played all season. That wasn’t the first time we heard those words this summer. Our players earned respect not only for how they played the game, but for how they carried themselves. They became a true team, and along the way built friendships that will last well beyond this season. Being both a dad and a coach for this group has been an absolute privilege. Thank you, boys, for an unforgettable season. You made all of us proud."
