Another milestone for Legacy Line Aquatics!

We had the opportunity to deliver another group of fish bred and raised right here in our own systems. This time to The Aquatic Critter in Nashville, Tennessee.

This store is seriously impressive. The selection, cleanliness, variety of livestock, and overall setup made it easy to see why they’ve built such a strong reputation in the hobby.

We’re extremely grateful for every opportunity to work with established aquarium stores that support local breeders and give customers access to healthy, locally raised fish.

A huge thank you to The Aquatic Critter for working with Legacy Line Aquatics!

If you’re ever in the Nashville area, this is definitely a store worth stopping in and seeing for yourself.

One of my favorite parts of breeding fish is getting to watch the entire process from beginning to end.

These Philippine Blue Angelfish started as a clutch of eggs guarded by their parents, moved into a hatch tray, became tiny free-swimming fry, and eventually grew into the healthy juveniles you see at the end.

There’s a lot of feeding, water changes, sorting and patience between that first and last clip, but seeing the progression never gets old.

What stage of raising fish do you enjoy watching the most: eggs, tiny fry, or when they finally start looking like miniature adults?

These are not basic stands made from exposed 2×4 pine, MDF, or particleboard. Each stand is built to a high standard with the aquarium’s weight, moisture, maintenance access, and long-term use in mind. Our goal is to create something structurally sound, visually appealing, and capable of lasting a lifetime with proper care.

The images shown are custom design concepts demonstrating several styles we can build. Every stand is made to order and designed specifically for the customer.

We’re excited to officially add Mexican Dwarf Crayfish “Orange/CPO” to our growing list of breeding projects here at Legacy Line Aquatics!

The adults have settled in nicely, and we’re already seeing spawning behavior. It will still be a little while before the first generation is large enough to offer, but we’re excited to watch this project develop over the coming months.

These little crayfish are full of personality, stay much smaller than most crayfish species, and make an awesome addition to the right aquarium.

Just a small glimpse of what we’re breeding here at Legacy Line Aquatics.

Every fish you see here is part of one of our breeding projects. We focus on raising healthy, aquarium-bred fish that are well acclimated before they ever reach their new homes.

We’re always working on expanding our lineup, and this is only a portion of the species currently in the fish room.

This custom rack started as a simple storage shelf and was transformed into a breeding system with reinforced shelving, custom plumbing, and reverse osmosis water lines. It’s one more step toward building the fish room we’ve envisioned for Legacy Line Aquatics.

Big shipping update!

We’ve officially switched our live fish shipping from FedEx Overnight to UPS Overnight! This change has allowed us to lower our shipping rates for many customers!

Customers in Kentucky and nearby states like Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, and Illinois will now see better overnight shipping rates at checkout.

Kentucky overnight shipping now starts at $25.99.

Close regional overnight shipping for Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois now starts at $39.99.

Shipping live fish safely is still our top priority, so all live fish orders will continue to ship overnight only. This change simply helps us make shipping more affordable while keeping the fish’s health and safety first.

Local meet-up pickup in Owensboro is still free.
