This old 50s Stella guitar came to my shop in pieces. I had to make a few pieces for it and, with several days of gluing, it all came together. Stella guitars were mid-level stringed instruments. Years ago, many blues players like Robert Johnson and Leadbelly used them, all the way up to Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. Kurt used an acoustic Stella guitar for songs like “Polly” and “Something in The Way”. They were called “The Working Man’s Guitar.”
It was fun bringing this old guitar back to life…

I was asked to build something for a benefit for The Rock Island Line Tavern. Come out on April 25 and place a bid on this solid oak hall bench with a hand-rubbed finish, which gives it a vintage look, at their silent auction.
