Quick background.

Collins & Fairbanks Co.Collins & Fairbanks Co. was a luxury, high-end haberdashery and hatter located at 383 Washington Street in Boston, Massachusetts. Established in the late 19th century, they catered strictly to the city’s upper class and elite academic circles.

The Peak Era: During the late 1800s and early 1900s, they were famous for producing top-tier silk plush hats, fine beaver fur toppers, and importing prestigious European goods (such as Burberrys of London).

As casual fashion took over in the mid-20th century, the demand for formal luxury hats plummeted, leading to the historic shop eventually being acquired by Boston retail giant Filene's in the 1940s.

Check out this incredible haul of vintage automotive, tractor, and farm collectibles we uncovered. From old AC, Champion, Texaco, International Harvester, FoMoCo, and Kendall advertising pieces to vintage spark plugs, manuals, gauges, parts boxes, and hard-to-find tractor components—there's a little bit of history in every piece.

One of my favorite things about reselling is finding items that most people walk right past. Hidden in dusty barns, garages, estates, and forgotten collections are pieces that collectors have been searching years to find.

And just like that, our first inventory drop-off at The Depot is complete! We’re excited to be back and look forward to ...
