I wanted something I havenât used in a while. Usually when that happens I wonder why I donât use it more. The Bazaar hit that spot for me. My scent from the first meet up Bricktown attended in 2023, the myrrh and rose forward splash was a hit. Itâs my own memory from my time in the desert where I attended a few bazaars. Mixes of incense, musk, and dust (I left that scent note out) were strong. Not pungent or off putting, but more ethereal.
I wanted a great yet neutral soap for tonight. Sir Hare always seems to fit with any shave. A classic and middle of the road barbershop, itâs inexpensive and I got mine on Amazon. Such a great lather.
I used a beautiful lignum vitae brush from Cody. He tanned the wood in the sun (it turns greenish!) and put a rosewood ferrule on top. Mix that with some pearl and brass inserts and you have a winner. The black boar knot makes it even better too!
I wanted to use a straight tonight too so I got my 1870âs Joseph Rodgers out, stropped her up, and had a smoooooth shave.
Happy shaving!
