Not your typically “abrasive” post but this isn’t your typical kid. This is Joseph Adam Garcia aka JAG today is his birthday and we are privileged to call him ours.

We don’t really get asked why it’s called JAGTEN well it’s our sons initials and the month he was born October.

You’ll see more of him as he continues to get more involved in the businesses. When we say we are small family business this is what we mean this who you support.

We just restocked a few different sizes and grits on our ceramic spiral bands. Raw material sourcing has been a pain as of late appreciate everyone’s patience and support! We also haven’t had a price increase in over 4 years as we continue to find ways to source material/product at the same price whether it’s buying larger volumes or bringing more manufacturing in-house!

Haven’t posted in a few days a lot of things going on just like any other small business but here’s a new flavor for y’all.

1 x 1 Medium Surface conditioning spiral band. It’s about a 120-150G range and can be used in the same application as our other ceramic spiral bands is it’s nylon web design to help promote air flow and minimum loading which helps the spiral band last longer and minimize heat on the work piece!

With such a high ceramic content medium to high pressure is needed to fracture the grain so the ceramic can resharpen.

It’s been tested by fabrication shops and knife makers and it is a great product!

Here’s another product we carry that you may not know about.

It’s our quick change strip disc that is made with premium silicon carbide grain with an open web which is great for paint, glue and other adhesive removal. Some fabricators such as have special uses for these I couldn’t find his post maybe he’ll share it again lol.

Uses Include:

Removing paint
Removing glue and other adhesives
Cleaning weld lines and weld splatter
Removal of scale and oxidation
