I asked Brian Blihovde how his boat performed during last weekend’s Bass Angler Magazine Pro/Am in Boardman, Oregon—especially in those wild Day 2 conditions. Here’s what he had to say:

“During the recent BAM Pro/Am at Boardman, Oregon on 8/29, we went out for the 2nd day of competition and we had some very high winds and gusts exceeeding 25mph out of the west… waves are hard for me to estimate, but they were far overhead! During the entire day and most importantly, on the way back in, my Phoenix 721 ZXL performed extremely well and I never felt unsafe in those high winds and waves. The 721 rides smooth and kept me fishing and got me back safe in the biggest waves I’ve ever been in!

Day 3 of the BAM Trail here in Boardman and Santos Garza with Divine Wraps came in clutch for Brian Walters!
Possible water in the fuel tank had him worried, but Santos made sure our LOM team was going to be on the water.
When you're in a 3-day grind, having someone in your corner means everything. Thank you Santos!

We wanted to congratulate our 3 top anglers in last weekends Bam Boardman event which included Brian Walters 2nd, Clark Korper 9th, and Jesse Halstead 10th. All of these anglers were challenged with brutal wind conditions during day 2 of the event that could of changed the outlook of the event. We are glad they all made it home safely.
