Dear Friends of Sip & Stitch,
I opened my shop almost four years ago. It started with a dream and a bet on myself. It came together with much support and many hands.
My business plan was more of a mission statement than a spreadsheet. I wanted to offer a space for people to connect to create and create to connect.
The first year this was accomplished through classes, events, weekly Knit Togethers and even a princess birthday party. We laughed together and offered tissue when appropriate. Sip & Stitch was the ‘third space” I had imagined.
The second year brought a sudden shut-down. When I was able to open again, the integral gathering of a ‘third space’ was gone. Now through the doors came people who had been isolated. They were eager for connection, however brief, and access to create something beautiful during uncertain times. This, Sip & Stitch, could offer.
The third year my husband and I expanded the business to offer a wine and food experience under the Willow Tree. The property also hosted a flower and ice cream business as well as a vintage trailer stay. Sip & Stitch offered new ways to create and versions of connection - each well received.
It has been my honor and joy to serve the community and tourists in Packwood during these shifting seasons. And now, the season of my life has shifted. With my husband’s retirement it is time for us to fulfill other dreams we have had. To fulfill those dreams, I have made the decision to close my shop. Sale of 30% off entire purchase (excluding cosigned items) begins Feb. 11. The property will be listed with Tracy Croshaw. Inquires can be made through: [email protected]
Friends, because of you, Sip & Stitch has been a successful experience beyond my original hopes and expectations.
I'll never be able to thank you enough, Shelli
