UPDATE ON THE CREWS RD FIRE (Clay County) AND THE RAILROAD COMPLEX FIRE (Putnam County)
Today these two wildfires merged into what is being referred to now as the . Total acreage is 3000 acres and containment is at 10%.

Multiple ground and air resources continue to battle this fire that has resulted in evacuations, road closures, and railway activity suspensions.
Earlier today, Florida Forest Service had 63 personnel, 36 dozers, 10 engines, and 2 fixed-wing aircraft responding to this fire. Federal resources included 3 LATS (Large Air Tankers), scoopers, a helicopter, and air attack. These numbers are fluid based on the dynamic needs of this fire which has been exhibiting erratic fire behavior. Spotting occurred today on the west side of US Hwy 17 at Guthry Road. Voluntary evacuations were initiated north of Bostwick for Guthry Road, Boogerville Road, Hunter Road, and White Tail Trail. The Bostwick Community Center,125 Tillman St, Palatka has been set up as a shelter for evacuees. Additionally, FHP and Clay County Sheriff's Office have closed part of US 17 north of Palmetto Bluff Road due to visibility.
Clay County Fire Rescue and Putnam County Fire Rescue also have multiple resources on scene coordinating structure protection as well as assisting the Florida Forest Service with wildfire suppression.
Crews continue to work around the clock with both day and night shifts in an effort to contain this fire.
