I enjoy doing markets, despite the long days, the heat, and all the hard work. There are those days, and those few people who make it a challenge. Why do people think its acceptable to open sealed products because it's a farmers market? You can't do that at your favorite store, or when you buy online. I had a lady open up a sealed body butter and stick her finger in it, when I had samples of everything on the table. Another lady got mad at me when I asked her not to open a bottle because there was a sample. Products get opened, lids dont get put back on, spills happen, labels get ruined (someone opened a bug spray and tada spilled in the tote, all labels ruined)... I was busy with a customer to look over and find a girl was opening all my tamper sealed lip balms, and got mad when she couldnt sample LIP BALM. Really? Didn't spend a dime, but damaged product that cant be sold now. Guess I have to get plastic shrink for lip balm now, which I hate, but.... people! Frustrating to say the least and damage costs me. I dont want to have to raise my prices because a few people can't be respectful and behave reasonably.
Rant over....
