Latest reports tell me a growing number of students are going βanalog back to school.β Stepping away from their screens and into stationery shops for actual pens and papers.
We can all be so smart. Because here, class, is the science bit β¦
1. βοΈ Handwriting boosts memory. * The seemingly simple task of writing something down actually creates deeper mental coding in your brain.
2. βοΈ Putting thoughts on paper helps clear mental clutter. * Holding too many tasks in your head at once can cause cognitive overload. (I hear that!)
3. βοΈ Making lists actually reduces stress and anxiety. * When you can see your obligations on a sheet of paper, they often seem more manageable.
4. βοΈ And, finally, donβt forget to doodle! * Scribbling in margins helps relax but also engage your mind, and is shown to lead to deeper creativity. Famous doodlers like Hemingway, Queen Victoria, and John Keats would agree!
