A little Pinder’s pride today. 💚

Ian Pinder and the FNGLA Treasure Coast Chapter leadership were sworn in for another year, with Ian continuing as Chapter President and State Board Representative.

We love seeing our team stay involved in the industry and community that Pinder’s has been part of for generations.

Congrats to Ian and the whole Treasure Coast crew! 🌱

Geranium prep is underway and this crew does NOT mess around. 💪

Hundreds of pots today. Cuttings tomorrow. And eventually, a whole lot of geraniums on our tables.

We’ve been growing geraniums at Pinder’s for over 50 years.

This season, we’re taking you behind the scenes from start to tables so you can see what really goes into growing them.

Stay tuned. 🌱

September is a pretty exciting month in the veggie garden! 🌱

Our fall growing season is getting underway here in Zone 10B, which means we can start making room for quite a few favorites again.

🥕 Beets, broccoli + carrots are worth getting started early
🍅 Bigger tomatoes are finally back in the conversation
🥒 Cucumbers, lettuce, eggplant + cabbage can all make their way into the garden too

And we have a few specific varieties we’re especially excited about this season.

So, what are you planting this month?

We put together our September list, plus some tips on what to get started sooner rather than later, in this week’s blog.

Saturday plans according to Ginger: take it easy. 😌

Find a shady spot, drink plenty of water, and remember your plants probably need a little extra too.

Ginger’s garden tip for the weekend: check the soil before you water. If it’s still damp, leave it alone. More water isn’t always more love.

Now, back to doing absolutely nothing. 🐱🌿

A little Friday stroll through what’s new at Pinder’s…

Things are looking a little different around here with construction underway, but don’t let that fool you. We’ve been busy filling the nursery with all kinds of new arrivals.

New foliage, fresh color, some VERY fun begonias, plenty of anthuriums, and yes… the Halloween goodies have officially started creeping in. 👻

Basically, there’s a lot to wander through right now.

What are you stopping for first? Plants or Halloween?

Okay, Crown of Thorns are looking REALLY good right now!

So many blooms, so many colors, and honestly, they deserve a lot of attention!

Why do we love them??
• Florida heat? No problem.
• Lots of sun? Even better.
• Forget a watering? They’ll forgive you.
• All those flowers without needing a ton of fuss? Yes, please.

Perfect for a sunny patio, porch pot, or that hot spot where fussier plants struggle.

We have tables full of them right now, with lots of colors to choose from.

A little behind the scenes of what’s growing at Pinder’s. 💙

Our production team is potting up Blue My Mind® Evolvulus, and these little guys have some growing to do before they make their way out to the nursery.

Once they get going, you get masses of those gorgeous true-blue flowers that absolutely love our Florida sun and heat.

☀️ Full sun
💙 Bright blue blooms
🌱 Low-growing + spreading
🔥 Loves the heat

Have you grown Blue My Mind before?

Demo has officially started around our front entrance!

We’re moving our registers and checkout area to a brand new spot, all with the goal of making your shopping experience at Pinder’s a little better.

In the meantime, pardon our mess! We’re still stocked and open as usual, but some of your favorite tables and plants may have wandered from their normal homes while we get this project rolling. If you can’t find something, just ask us. We’re happy to help!

We’re hoping to have everything finished around October 1st. We can’t wait for you to see it!

You bought one Philodendron.
Then somehow you grew a little obsession.
We get it!

Philodendrons are such easy plants to fall in love with, but with SO many different varieties, figuring out what they actually need can get a little confusing.

So this week, we went back to basics: light, watering, soil, fertilizer, repotting, climbing vs. creeping, and what changes when you’re growing them here in Florida.

Already have a few?
Thinking about bringing home another?
Save this one for your growing collection.
