May 26, 2026 โ€“ Boaters will receive a summertime reprieve as the boat basin dredging at Bings Landing is being postponed until after Labor Day.

โ€œAfter further consultation with FIND (Florida Inland Navigation District), which is responsible for this projectโ€™s funding support, as well as receiving feedback from our local commercial and recreational boating industries, we have decided to postpone the dredging until after Labor Day,โ€ said Interim County Administrator Adam Mengel.

The work was originally expected to commence on June 1, causing the boat launch to be closed for three weeks โ€“ the duration of the dredging.

The project to increase the depth of the deepest areas of the basin will be rescheduled sometime after Labor Day.

๐ŸŽฃ Team up and hit the water for one of the most fun tournaments of the summer! The Flagler Sportfishing Club Team Tournament returns Saturday, June 20th with bigger cash prizes, raffles, CPR bonus opportunities, and a full day of fishing with the FSC community.

Eligible species include Flounder, Redfish, Bluefish, Pompano, and Spotted Sea Trout, with teams competing for the most eligible fish weighed in โ€” one of each species per team. Thereโ€™s also a $150 CPR Longest Fish division, so make sure those bump board photos are ready! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐ŸŸ
