Before Leo DiCaprio was a movie star, he was just an annoying little kid tagging along on comic deliveries.
Back in the 1970s, Myron ran a comic book store β and some of what he sold had to stay under the counter. Robert Crumb, Zap Comix, the whole underground comix scene. His distributor was a guy who'd bring his son and daughter along on runs.
The distributor's last name? DiCaprio. His son? Leo.
Turns out Leo's dad, George DiCaprio, was a well-known name in the West Coast underground comix world himself β writing and publishing his own titles. Leo has talked about growing up in the back of his dad's station wagon reading comics on those trips.
