Time to dust off the tinsel! The City of Palm Springs is about to sleigh your weekend and jingle all the way into December! 🎄

Kick things off at 4pm Friday in Frances Stevens Park with our Holiday Banner Awards, Tree Lighting & Carols — complete with hot cocoa, crafts, and Santa-level cheer. Then keep the magic glowing downtown on Saturday evening as the Festival of Lights Parade turns Palm Canyon Drive into a glittering desert sleigh ride.

This weekend is lit ✨ literally!

NOTICE: The city’s arborist contractor is scheduled to start palm tree trimming on Palm Canyon Drive this Friday, 6/20 7AM-3PM. The arborists are generally pretty quick.

Join us Sunday, June 1, for PS Resorts' Forever Marilyn Community Celebration from 4:00-6:00 p.m., on what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 99th birthday. The special event will also commemorate the Forever Marilyn statue’s new home in Palm Springs’ Downtown Park – which is where the celebration will be held.

This free event will be hosted by one of Palm Springs' most revered ‘Marilyn’ drag queens – Vanity Halston – and feature music, birthday treats (one per person, while supplies last) and a Marilyn Monroe Look-alike Contest that will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes to those who are best channeling Marilyn Monroe’s iconic beauty.
