Call for Qualifications: Interior Mural at Palm Springs International Airport (PSP)
Palm Springs International Airport is seeking artists for a new large-scale interior mural as part of its growing ๐ผ๐ง๐ฉ@๐๐๐ program. The selected artwork will be installed in a highly visible location within the terminal and will help shape the visual experience of millions of travelers each year.
The opportunity is open to artists nationwide, but I would especially encourage local and regional artists to apply. Palm Springs has an extraordinary creative community, and this project offers a rare opportunity to contribute work to one of the most visible public spaces in the Coachella Valley.
Following the qualifications review process, three artists will be invited to develop formal proposals.
The mural site will be viewed from both considerable distances (100+ feet) and at close range (less than 3 feet), so the selection committee is particularly interested in artists whose work demonstrates visual impact and engagement at multiple scales.
