Happy Monday! 🍂 September is almost here, and that means a little seasonal change at Poppy Lane!

Starting tomorrow, September 1st, we’ll officially switch to our fall/winter hours:
🍁 Monday–Saturday | 10AM–6PM

There’s just something about the red cabins, winding road, towering mountains, and the tundra that is just inspiring.

I wanted this one to feel unmistakably Alaska while keeping the design simple and bold.

Watching this one come to life, one color (and what feels like a million strands of wool 😂) at a time. Inspired by one of my favorite close to home Alaska places—Hatcher Pass. ❤️
Still a ways to go, but I’m loving where it’s headed!

Breaks over and I’m back to the tufting frame—and it feels so good to be creating again.
I’m especially grateful for people like these two, who have supported my work again and again. Seeing one of my rugs head home with longtime supporters is such a sweet reminder of why I love doing this.
Thank you for cheering me on, appreciating my work, and continuing to support my little rug-making adventure through all its seasons. 🥹🧶

Somewhere between the mountain of wool fluff and the endless trimming, this little puffin finally came to life.

Apparently one fishing trip to Homer was all it took… I came home with more puffin ideas than fish. 😂🎣🐧
Ever since I got back, I’ve been sketching, tweaking, and figuring out how to turn coastal memories into wool. These puffin rugs and a special order fireweed are finally underway, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring another little piece of Alaska to life.

Glue is drying now and hopefully I’ll get these cuties done in the next day or two.

Really happy with how this Alaska sea otter turned out. The new gun adds a ton of different texture, but it definitely doesn’t believe in shortcuts. 🦦🏔️ What do you think?

This little otter has been floating around my head for a while now. 🦦😂
It’s also my first rug using both a micro loop pile gun and a cut pile gun on the same piece, so we’re all learning together. Still lots of trimming and carving left, but I think he’s going to be worth the extra effort. I love how this one will have 2 different textures and pile heights! What do you think about it so far?
