ATTENTION COOK INLET COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN!!!
On June 4, 2026 CFEC is having an emergency meeting to implement the BOF generated proposal 192 that replaces setnets with beach seines and also takes away any possible fishing time in August! This proposal was advanced out of cycle and against overwhelming opposition in public comments at a rate of 92% opposed to 8 % in favor or partially in favor(84 against, 7 for). 192 is an overstep by the BOF in process and an attack on Cook Inlet Fisheries!! Only a few individuals are pushing this proposal but the BOF wants nets out of the water! Fishermen that are against 192 and the BOF process on how they passed it please call Reid Johnson at CFEC at 907-717-6512 before the June 4 CFEC meeting! Area M stopped BOF overreach And Cook Inlet can also if we fight it!
