Coverlets are going up for our new season and America's 250th Celebration! Here's just a sneak peek. Transformation will be complete on May 19th.
The Alling Coverlet opened on July 4th 1976, with a collection of approximately 200 coverlets. Today, that number has risen, and we are known to have one of the largest coverlet collections in the US. Staring May 19th. Our hours will be Tuesday - Friday, 10am- 4pm, and Saturdays, 10am-2pm. There is no admission fee for the Alling Coverlet Museum.

🧵✨ **Museum Update from Historic Palmyra** ✨🦅

As we prepare for an exciting **new first-floor display featuring Eagles, opening May 19th**, some of our coverlets on the first floor of the Alling Coverlet Museum will be temporarily taken down for approximately one week.

Visitors will still be able to enjoy **beautiful coverlets on the second floor**, as well as the stunning quilts in our **quilt room**, during this transition.

Please note that **all five of Historic Palmyra’s museums will remain open** and ready to welcome visitors throughout this time.

This temporary change allows us to create a fresh and engaging exhibit experience while continuing to showcase the rich textile history that makes our museums so special.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to see both our treasured textiles and our exciting new Eagle display beginning May 19th!
