Howell Tackle Supply has been privileged to serve customers in our St. Howell Tackle was originally owned & operated by Bill & Hazel Howell, who continued to work in the business until selling it in 2002. The business was returned to them in 2011, at which time Mr. Howell contacted his prior manager of 21 years, Rick Snellgrove, to return to the business. In January 2012 Rick purchased the busines
s from Mr. Howell and a new corporation, “Last Chance of Bay County,” was begun, with the business continuing to operate under the name of Howell Tackle. Rick & his wife, Elaine, have been married since 1982 and have been blessed with three grown children and seven grandchildren. The “grands” enjoy visiting “Pappy’s” store! The older ones are learning to “work” FOR him, (while the younger ones have learned how to “work him” for the bubble gum & candy he has available for his customers & employees at the store!)
Howell Tackle has a wonderful crew in place, who are dedicated to serving the customers with friendliness, competency, and with a desire for long-term relationships. Howell Tackle considers it a privilege to serve a customer base that includes the “locals,” along with customers from all over the country.
