As a fiber artist, AI crochet really p*sses me off 😡

Over the summer, I found the perfect inspiration for a first-day-of-school outfit for Miss Lily Lou. But you can’t trust much crochet you see online anymore unless it comes from a designer you know—and, sure enough, this Pinterest find was FAKE.

But this mama knew what to do. 💪🧶

We found the perfect yarn, and I crocheted (and crocheted…and crocheted) until I figured it out. Yarn amount? Unknown. Hook size for the right drape? Unknown. Sizing? Unknown. How on earth to add those ties? Also unknown. 😂

But I MADE IT HAPPEN, and I’m damn proud of how it turned out. I will foreverrrrrr make her as many outfits as she requests!!

Best of all? Lilia thinks her sweater looks even better than the picture. 🩷

Off to 5th grade for this beauty. Wishing her the most perfect first year of middle school 📚 📓 ✏️

I’m still here! Things just look a little different (again) 🩷
Last month I returned to a dream job - same department, but new role than in 2025 and I really hit the ground running to get up to speed again.
In between the new job, dance season, my sweet babies, figuring out chores around the house and you know, sleep 🙃 I have less time to crochet than before but I can’t wait to start sharing how I’ve decorated my office and the exciting new things I’ll be selling this summer!
