We are a veteran family owned business in downtown Papillion, NE! Have you ever wanted to learn how to play piano? Have you thought about taking up a relaxing hobby like knitting or crocheting? Do you like to outfit your home with handmade one of a kind items? Then, our shop is your prime stop in Papillion. Co-owners are Ryan and Emily Chilson, originally from Huron, SD. Ryan is a 20-year recently retired Marine Corps veteran. Emily is an honor graduate from UMUC with a Business Administration and Accounting degree with a specialty in Music Education, from three years of study at SDSU and additional musical study and concentration from age 7. Ryan has discovered the art of woodworking is his way to relax amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. His medium is hard wood with beautiful grains and just the right amount of spalting. He uses wood he has recovered and milled from downed trees in Hurricane Irene, from felled wood in Japan, and is currently taking down and milling an old maple in South Dakota. He purchases exotic hardwoods for specialty projects and some of his pen work. Emily has studied music theory for fourteen years, piano and clarinet for eleven years, voice for ten, and oboe for two. She has performed with these various musical instruments for nineteen years in multiple areas of the country and world. She held the piano contract for a chapel as well as opened up her first piano studio in Iwakuni, Japan for three years and reopened her piano studio in Cape Carteret, NC for an additional three years. Most recently, she has spent the last two years playing clarinet with the Fallbrook Chamber Orchestra in Fallbrook, CA. Ryan and Emily recently moved to La Vista, NE with their three children to be back in the Midwest life near family and friends. They feel it's time to start this new business venture and incorporate what they love into a way to share their knowledge and talents with young and old and give back to their local community.
