COMMANDMENT 89: STOP ROMANTICIZING CLOWN BEHAVIOR

Baby, stop calling it “potential” when the behavior is giving problem.

Stop calling inconsistency “they’re just going through something.”

Stop calling bare minimum “effort.”

Stop calling confusion “chemistry.”

Stop calling disrespect “a complicated relationship.”

And PLEASE stop turning somebody’s inability to love, respect, communicate, or show up properly into a love story that only exists in your imagination.

Clown behavior is still clown behavior, even when you put a luxury filter on it.

You are not the exception because you have chemistry.

You are not the healer because you can see their potential.

And you are damn sure not required to sit in the front row of somebody else’s circus just because you bought the ticket.

Stop romanticizing what you should be recognizing.

Your intuition already told you.

Your friends already told you.

Your peace already told you.

Now YOU need to tell yourself the truth.

THE LITTLE DETAILS ARE WHAT MAKE LUXURY FEEL LIKE LUXURY. Our final anniversary celebration brought us to Great Oak Steakhouse at Pechanga, and from the moment we walked through the door, the experience was exceptional. They knew who we were. They knew we were celebrating our anniversary. And somehow, it felt like they intentionally placed us in our own little area, away from the busier dining room, giving us a sense of privacy while we celebrated. Whether that was intentional or not, they made us feel seen. And that matters. The service was impeccable. Our waitstaff was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely happy to be there. The food arrived fresh and delicious, everything was exactly as ordered, and we ended the evening with a beautiful anniversary dessert. But honestly, the best part wasn’t the food. It was sitting across from my husband, enjoying each other, talking about our future, our adult kids, life, and where we’re headed next. After all these years, I still love that man. ❤️ Great Oak, you understood the assignment. And yes… we made sure our waiter knew how much we appreciated that kind of service. 👰🏾🤵🏽💍

You have to go see the JABBAWOCKEEZ I have been a fan since the day they made their first appearance on Tv. And to finally see them perform was EVERYTHING!

Side Note: I think I recognized them walking through the casino later that evening. One was carrying a plate of food or snacks.

ANNIVERSARY MONTH DATE NIGHT ✨ We picked the Jabbawockeez because we BOTH love them, and after all these years together, we’re still finding new things to experience together. ❤️ Neither of us had ever seen them live, so celebrating our anniversary month at Pechanga with the Jabbawockeez felt like the perfect date night. And listen… I LOVE watching dancers who can absolutely STICK a move! The precision, the timing, the synchronization… BABY! Watching them move as one is everything. 🔥 I’ve always been obsessed with dance. Back in the day, I really thought I was going to be a dancer myself 😂 So maybe that’s why I love watching Janet Jackson, dancers, choreography and performances all day long. What a FUN night with my favorite person. 🥂❤️ Anniversary month has been powerful!
