This year, Paris Fashion Week's Runway Show will take place in one of downtown Paris' most iconic landmarks—the historic Gibraltar Hotel.
Built in 1915, the Gibraltar Hotel was created by local business leaders who envisioned a first-class hotel that would welcome visitors arriving by rail and showcase the growth of Paris, Texas. Just one year later, the hotel survived the devastating 1916 Great Fire of Paris. During its restoration, an entire seventh floor was added, making it an even more recognizable part of the city's skyline.
For decades, the Gibraltar served travelers, business professionals, and community guests before changing hands multiple times as travel patterns shifted away from downtown hotels. Although it eventually closed, the building has remained a symbol of Paris' rich history and architectural heritage. Today, it stands as a treasured downtown landmark and a reminder of the city's resilience.
This September, history and style come together as the Gibraltar Hotel once again welcomes guests—this time as the backdrop for the Paris Fashion Week Runway Show. We can't wait to celebrate fashion in one of Paris' most historic spaces.
