This is underneath the spin basket of an 8 year old Speed Queen washer. Speed Queen uses all metal parts. Over use of soap will cause these parts to deteriorate over time. You only need a teaspoon to a tablespoon max of soap, because of how concentrated manufactures make it now! The 2nd picture is how this part is supposed to look, it holds up the basket so your clothes wash properly.
