THE STORIED HISTORY OF LEMON'S FARM EQUIPMENT ESTABLISHED IN 1957
Curtis Lemon started the business back in 1957 after he was laid off from the marble factory. He would get up in the middle of the night to get a customer care taken care of, so that customer could go to work the next day. In 1964 the original garage burnt to the ground with no insurance. The next day the neighbors and customers p
ulled together to start the rebuild and they pulled
resources together to purchase $25.00 worth of tools to get him started back in the business. That was a day when your neighbor was your neighbor, and that everybody helped each other. From there Curtis started working on a few farm tractors, selling International Machinery equipment. He sold them and bought a few more. At least once a month he was going to Cincinnati for equipment or London, Ohio for equipment. In 2002 the name was changed from Lemon's garage to Lemon's Farm Equipment and a partnership was formed with Curtis and his children: Jim, John and Marilyn along with Evelyn his wife. "We are who we are, because Curtis Lemon was who he was"
