⚠️ Heat Advisory Reminder from Cleveland Animal Control ⚠️

Temperatures are expected to be dangerously hot this week. Please remember that under Cleveland law, it is illegal to leave a dog outside during a Heat Advisory. Extreme heat can quickly lead to heat exhaustion, heatstroke, and can be fatal.

If your dog must go outside, keep trips brief and always provide access to fresh water and a cool, shaded area. Remember that hot pavement can burn paw pads in just minutes.

If you see a dog left outside during the Heat Advisory or believe a dog is in distress, please contact Cleveland Animal Care & Control immediately at 216-664-3069.

Please help us keep the animals in our community safe by checking on pets and speaking up if you see a dog in danger. Every call could save a life. 🐾
